Communities Organizing to Promote Equity (COPE) was born from the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic that inflamed the health disparities across many communities in Kansas. COPE's goal is to engage with communities to address equity issues. The project activates a network of public health and community-based organizations, community health workers and partners in counties throughout Kansas.

In Fall 2020, The ABC Science Collaborative launched the ABC Pandemic Management Platform in order to help schools identify students and staff with COVID-19 symptoms and infections and isolate infected individuals to slow the spread of the virus. The integrated set of tools is no longer in use, but was used for gathering, monitoring, and analyzing the daily health symptoms of students and staff at school was used at no cost to schools across 11 school districts or regional charter schools in North Carolina during the 2020-21 school year.
