COVID-19 has unequally impacted poor people of color, mainly because of where Black and Brown Americans live. Delaware State University researchers went to underserved communities to investigate the impact of and response to COVID-19. Their findings are highlighted in this one-page research brief. The benefits of their community-engaged research experience highlight the necessity of sustained community engagement in addressing entrenched health disparities most prevalent in underserved communities and being prepared for emerging and unforeseen health crises.

The NYU-CUNY Prevention Research Center created a Digital Story Video Collection with stories of New Yorkers' COVID-19 vaccination and pandemic experience. There are 25 videos subtitled in English, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, and Arabic. Most videos are spoken in English. Videos were created through the Community Oversight Task Force which represents different organizations. More information about them is in each YouTube video.
