Colectiv

Colectiv

New for the RADx-UP Consortium

Colectiv is a web-based data collection platform for research study teams to create and manage electronic data capture forms.

  • Prepare custom, secure, reliable data collection forms,
  • Use electronic forms to securely collect data from participants in your research study,
  • Transfer participant data easily and securely to the CDCC, and
  • Create electronic consent and assent forms that participants can read, complete, and sign on a tablet or mobile device.

Colectiv is available now to all RADx-UP projects.

If you are ready to start using the platform, contact your CDCC Engagement Impact Team or RADx-UP-CDCC@duke.edu

Colectiv gives you a secure way to invite and consent participants to take part in your study and share their answers to your study questionnaire. As your project team collects study data with Colectiv, you are able to directly and securely transfer RADx-UP NIH Common Data Element (CDE) data to the RADx-UP Coordination and Data Collection Center (CDCC).

With Colectiv, your project will have access to:

  • A form builder that will allow you to create data collection forms for your research study.
  • An easy way to build electronic informed consent and e-assent forms and a secure way to capture participant or parent/guardian consent and child assent signatures in the same system as your survey forms.
  • Pre-programmed and ready-to-use RADx-UP NIH CDEs that make form creation quicker and less complicated.

  • RADx-UP NIH CDEs that are also pre-programmed to meet data conformance standards for the RADx-UP CDCC, reducing your project’s workload for formatting data before transfer.
  • A feature to securely share your study data with the CDCC directly from the platform to the RADx-UP aggregate data set.
  • A dashboard to monitor your progress in collecting data for your study.

Features

Study administrators and coordinators can:

  • Create, edit, and manage forms and e-consent forms.
  • Register Participants and manage participant records.
  • Complete forms and allow participants to complete forms.
  • Check participant and form statuses and view basic study analytics.
  • Download study data for your project and transfer data to RADx-UP CDCC.

To use the platform, study admins and coordinators must have organizational credentials at an institution that participates in the InCommon Federation or be provided a limited Duke University sponsored account.

Data Use and Security

Each RADx-UP project is required to have in place a signed data use agreement (DUA) with the RADx-UP CDCC and that DUA will be amended to reflect your project’s use of Colectiv. Data collected through Colectiv are stored on secure cloud server space managed and protected by Duke University. Each study has its own partitioned space that is password protected and only accessible by designated study staff for that specific project. Only authorized personnel at Duke will have access to your data as specified in your data use agreement.

Your project will retain rights to decide how the data you collect through Colectiv are used and what portions of this data can be transferred to the larger RADx-UP Aggregate Data Set for consortium research purposes.
